The hour the world unites in a stand against global warming
JCS joined and supported the world wide movement of Earth Hour, a 60-minute conscientious act in the backdrop of climate change by creating awareness in DELHI, AGRA and PATNA by asking the society to switch off all the lights for an hour on Saturday 27th March.
Over 20,000 people switched off their lights with JCS on Earth Hour 2010, comprising more than 20 societies, schools and colleges across Delhi, Patna and Agra.
Area- Delhi
Societies such as Naraina Vihar, Rohini (Sector 13, Swastik Kunj Apartment; Sector 16, E-5 & G-2; Sector17, C-2), colleges (BVIMR), and business establishments in Capital of India – Delhi participated with JCS in WWF-India Earth Hour 2010 and switched off their lights for an hour from 8.30pm to 9:30pm on Saturday 27 March 2010 to observe Earth Hour.

JCS organized Candle March on the occasion of Earth Hour 2010 in association with Swastik Kunj Society, spearheaded by of Mr. Anil Bansal (President of RWA), Mr. E C Gupta (President of the Society) and Mr. J K Narang (Event coordinator) in which over 500 families switched off their lights during the period to support Earth Hour.
